Alyson Shelton wrote and directed award winning feature film Eve of Understanding. She is a graduate of the MFA program in Cinematic Arts at University of Southern California, where she met her producing partner Jen Prince and husband and collaborator Cody Shelton. Jen Prince grew up in south Texas, where she received her BFA in Acting and a BA in Liberal Arts in the Plan II Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin. She wrote and directed an award-winning short film, winded, as her thesis film for the graduate film production program at the University of Southern California, earning her MFA. It was during her time at USC that she met her producing partner, Alyson Shelton. After various television and film jobs, Jen and Alyson formed Open Plan Films to independently produce their original work. Jen produced Eve of Understanding as their feature film debut. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Gordon.
