A runaway. Her fresh-off-the-rez boyfriend. A retired jazz diva. An aging lothario. All looking for a little hope on the Bright Side…but once she finds it, will she stay?

Josie never stops to ask the question ‘why’ when she finds herself in a rustic old bar filled with friendly shadows in Northern Arizona. Why is she here? Why now? Why these people? Soon her life seems to be taking a turn for the better as she meets Max, an aging lothario who runs the little bar that’s becoming a home of sorts for the nomadic Josie. A retired jazz diva and a fresh off the rez jack-of-all-trades complicate matters when Josie decides to stay on indefinitely. When the past comes calling what will she have in store for the three people who’ve become her intimate partners on the dusty trail of life?
